This site serves a few functions that are principle in keeping people informed and introducing people to the work of Toby Jaguar Algya. This site contains an arrangement of portfolio excerpts and explanations of past sound designs, sound compositions, system designs, and the hybrids of sound and system compositions. The title on the home page reads "Sound & System Composition," which is a description as closely related to the definition of the type of work that toby jaguar does. Sound Design, especially for theatre, can be seen as an emerging art form developing in the shadow of lighting design with the advent of power distribution, amplification of acoustic information, and more recently digital mixing and digital music production. If Sound Design can be seen as a larger definition of the decisions of how an audience hears and interprets acoustic information, then the world of sound design and the decisions concerned with sound design are quite old. In the later consideration the inclusion of acoustics is involved, in reference to a space, i.e. a theatre or concert hall, or instruments. Acoustics have been a consideration for quite some time as exemplified in early architecture of western civilization, as in distributing audible sound to a large group of people.

The site is also a tool to keep interested parties informed of current events and projects concerning the artist. On the Home page a section features the current projects toby jaguar is working on, while the navagation bar on the left side of the page offers links to other recent works, and older portfolio archived work. Contact information is also obtainable, as well as, an up-to-date CV.
